EAST TAYLOR TOWNSHIP, PA — April 14th — During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the East Taylor Township Volunteer Fire Company honored dispatchers for their contributions to emergency response.


As the initial point of contact for calls, telecommunicators collaborate with the Cambria County Department of Emergency Services to coordinate resources for responding units and give callers guidance. They are in charge of sending staff, controlling radio traffic, and communicating vital information during emergencies.
