UPPER YODER TOWNSHIP, PA — April 20th — Alongside staff from the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department and the West Hills Regional Fire Department, members of the Upper Yoder Township Volunteer Fire Department Station 27 started Pump Operations 1 and 2 training.
In addition to preparing new members for pump operations, the course is intended to refresh seasoned engine operators. Water supply, pump controls, and effective apparatus operation during fireground situations were the main topics of training.
For engine firms, pump operations are still essential because they provide dependable water delivery during suppression measures. Chris Meyers was the instructor for the training.
