During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, which took place from April 12 to April 18, the Constableville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. honored dispatchers.
As the initial point of contact for emergency calls, dispatchers ensure that the right resources are delivered and maintain composure in high-stress situations. Information collecting, unit coordination, and radio communication with field responders are all part of their job description.
Telecommunicators assist law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services throughout Lewis County by managing incidents from start to finish. An essential component of the emergency response system is their work.
