CONSTABLEVILLE, NY — April 18th — There was no entrapment when the Constableville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. responded to a reported tractor-trailer rollover.
Eight volunteers from Constableville's Engine 301, Engine 303, and ambulance responded. When personnel arrived, they verified that a big box truck full of appliances was off the road. There were no reported injuries.
While Groff's Towing worked to upright and remove the truck, firefighters guarded the area and controlled traffic. In order to reestablish safe traffic conditions, crews and New York State Police removed debris from the road.
Coordination between fire, law enforcement, and towing services is frequently necessary in incidents involving commercial vehicles. After the road was cleaned, the units went back into operation.
