ASTON TOWNSHIP, PA — March 25th — The Aston Ambulance Authority had a swearing-in ceremony for its first team members, according to the Aston Township Fire Department.

Under the leadership of Chief of EMS Bruce Egan and Medical Director Dr. Evan Lynn, the new service will employ 19 paramedics to staff two ALS chase units that will run around the clock. While Unit 181-B will function out of Marcus Hook Borough, Unit 181-A will be situated in Aston Township.

Advanced Life help chase units help ambulance crews with higher-level care by responding quickly to critical medical calls. It is anticipated that the addition of these units will improve the area's emergency medical coverage.

Kevin Carr and Kate Denney were also acknowledged by department officials for their employment as ALS providers.
