This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

ALIQUIPPA, PA — March 31st — Every two years, Aliquippa Firefighters participated in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) radiological training alongside police, public works, emergency management, and EMS partners. Coordinated response to accidents involving hazardous materials and possible radioactive risks was the main emphasis of the seminar. Participants went over how to coordinate resources, communicate, and take precautions in complicated situations. Scenario-based exercises reinforced departmental roles and duties while enabling agencies to function under a single command structure.

In order to guarantee a uniform strategy during major events, coordination with county and state partners was also stressed. This kind of training helps ensure operational uniformity across agencies and increases preparedness for high-risk, infrequent situations. In order to promote efficient response and public safety, personnel finished the exercise with strengthened protocols and enhanced coordination.
