Columbia, PA - On 23rd May 2026 in the late afternoon members of North Mountain Fire Co. responded as mutual aid to a second-alarm structure fire on Ash Road in Pine Township, Columbia County.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the residence fully involved in flames. Crews worked for approximately two hours to bring the fire under control and extinguish the blaze.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of multiple agencies, the fire was successfully contained. No injuries were reported.

Fire departments from Unityville, Benton, Millville, Lairdsville, and Hughsville assisted at the scene, while Geisinger EMS provided emergency medical support throughout the incident.
