ELMER, NJ — April 12th — At the Centerton Fire Company, recruits in Fire Fighter 1 Class 676 finished a weekend training program with an emphasis on elevated work and ladder operations. Ladder positioning, climbing, and fundamental truck business operations were all covered in the practical drill under supervision. Recruits were exposed to a variety of equipment used throughout the area thanks to the apparatus support supplied by Centerton Fire Company, Deepwater Fire Company (Station 7), and Reliance Fire Company (Station 12).

When doing high tasks, instructors placed a strong emphasis on coordination, safety, and communication. Building a solid basis for new recruits joining the fire service is largely dependent on initiatives like Fire Fighter 1. After the session, recruits have enhanced their abilities and gained a deeper comprehension of the daily tasks of ladder companies.
