HUNTINGTON, NY — April 16th — As part of continuous preparation efforts, members of the Huntington Fire Department participated in an off-site training event.

In order to hone abilities and increase adaptability, crews received training outside of their typical response region. Firefighters can work with a variety of layouts and settings during off-site training, which helps them get ready for situations outside of regular operations.

The program was organized by chief officers and training officers, who made sure that participants had the chance to go over collaboration, tactics, and equipment use. These exercises are routinely scheduled by departments throughout the region to ensure operational cooperation and proficiency.
