Adelphia Fire Company Honors Members at Installation Dinner

On March 22, the Adelphia Fire Company had their annual installation dinner dance, which gave members a chance to get together with their families while honoring accomplishments, leadership, and service.


Officers were sworn in, while former leaders, such as former Chief Timothy McKay (2024–2025) and former President George Gravatt Jr. (2020–2024), were honored.


Long-term commitment was recognized with service awards, such as 70 years (George Patten), 50 years (Gary Davidson), 40 years (Tom P. Ward), and 25 years (Roger Busico). Other 2026 honors were 55 years (Ron North), 55 years (Frank Bostjancic), 40 years (George Gravatt Jr.), 30 years (Jeff DiGraitis), and 25 years (Brian Prochnow and Kathleen Carter).


Frank Biddle III (2025) and Chris Pujat (2024) received the George F. Gravatt Sr. Above & Beyond Award. Frank Bostjancic and George Gravatt Sr. received engineer badges, and Frank Geida and Matt Geida received life associate awards.


Top responders were also recognized. In 2024 (570 calls total), the top ten were George Gravatt Sr. (463), Frank Biddle III (416), Chris Pujat (414), Nicolas Gravatt (312), Timothy McKay (283), Johannes Smit (268), Michael Giordano (257), Stephen Smith (252), Frank Bostjancic (222), and Mike Hubert (204). In 2025 (518 calls total), the top ten were Frank Biddle III (446), George Gravatt Sr. (440), Nicolas Gravatt (373), Chris Pujat (350), Timothy McKay (257), Frank Bostjancic (244), John Nimeth (209), Stephen Smith (208), Michael Giordano (187), and Mike Hubert (186).


The Ladies Auxiliary also recognized members for service, including Patti Anderson (55 years), Bonnie Mumpower (50 years), Georgeanne Corriea (30 years), and Cindy Gibson (25 years).


Officials thanked neighboring fire departments for providing station coverage during the event, along with the staff of Colts Neck Inn Steakhouse and Wax Entertainment for their support.
