This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. — May 9th — The Englishtown Fire Department helped with regional fire coverage after responding to a residential structure fire in Freehold Township as part of a mutual assistance assignment. While crews worked at a house that had significant fire damage, firefighters collaborated with nearby departments. During the crisis, mutual aid resources assisted in maintaining personnel requirements and supporting suppression measures.

While local units were devoted to fire operations, Englishtown personnel stayed on hand to cover the surrounding villages once the situation was cleared. The reaction demonstrated the value of regional collaboration by enabling departments in Monmouth County to pool staff and resources while preserving emergency service coverage for local people.
