ANSONIA, CT — April 15th — During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the Ansonia Fire Department thanked the staff at the Northwest Connecticut Public Safety Communication Center and acknowledged dispatchers.

According to officials, dispatchers are frequently the initial point of contact in emergency situations, coordinating resources for responding units while maintaining composure and clear communication. Although they play a mostly supporting role, they are crucial to operations that are both safe and efficient.
