Berlin Fire Marks One Year of EMS Service

BERLIN, NH — April 15th — On April 1st, 2026, the Berlin Fire Department, represented by the Professional Firefighters of Berlin IAFF Local 1088, celebrated one year of offering emergency medical services to the community.


Crews responded to 171 calls in March, including 106 medical responses, 24 law enforcement assistance requests, 21 public service calls, 15 non-emergency calls, three hazardous situations, and two rescues, according to officials. Additionally, the department handled 29 calls at once during the month, demonstrating the operational demand since assuming EMS responsibility.
