Bridgewater Fire Awarded $10K Safety Equipment Grant

BRIDGEWATER, MA — April 4— The Bridgewater Fire Department declared that the FY26 Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant has given it $10,221.80.


Governor Maura Healey and Fire Marshal Jon Davine announced the grant, which came from the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services. The cash will be used to buy necessary equipment, such as a gas meter, scene lighting, hand tools, a chain saw, rescue ropes, and a handheld thermal imaging camera, according to department officials.
