BALTIC, CT — April 9th — Probationary firemen received SCBA confidence training as part of the Baltic Fire Engine Company No. 1's ongoing member development program.
The meeting was led by Lieutenant Genest and Assistant Chief Ouimette, who prepared two new members for a planned live burn. The training's main goal was to increase participants' familiarity with using SCBAs in situations that mimic the strain and exhaustion of fighting inside fires.
