Specialized Training Held for Animal Emergencies

RICHMOND, RI — April 9th — Members of the Richmond Carolina Fire District participated in training on large animal and equine rescue.


Instructors from the Hianloland Fire Department led the workshop and gave advice on specialized tools and methods used in animal rescue situations. The handling techniques, scene safety, and coordination needed while working with huge animals were all covered in the training.


Lieutenant Elena Wilds, Deputy Chief Josh Wilds, and Deputy Chief Alex Potts imparted operational expertise pertinent to rural and mixed-response regions.
