Brigantine, NJ - The Brigantine Fire and EMS Department’s Alpha Platoon participated in BCS Family Fitness Night, delivering an interactive firefighter style training experience for students and their families. The event focused on demonstrating the importance of physical fitness in the fire service through a series of practical and high energy drills designed to reflect real world firefighting tasks.
Participants rotated through activities that included agility exercises and a hose dummy drag, giving them a firsthand look at the strength, endurance, and teamwork required on the fireground. The evolution was both educational and engaging, allowing attendees to challenge themselves while gaining a deeper appreciation for the physical demands faced by firefighters.
The department expressed its appreciation to Mindy Pomatto for the invitation and thanked all community members who attended and actively took part in the event.
