This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

LINCOLN, NY — March 22nd — For its 1954 FWD equipment, the Town of Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department has started a long-term rehabilitation project. The vintage unit was just moved to the SUNY Morrisville Automotive Department, where teachers and students will finish any necessary cosmetic and mechanical repairs. These kinds of programs help community organizations with major projects while offering practical training.

The equipment was transported to the facility with assistance from the Town of Lincoln Highway Department. Maintaining connections to previous operations and preserving department history are two benefits of restoring historical fire equipment. Members will keep an eye on the project's advancement.
