Oakland Fire Hosts Community Emergency Preparedness Training

Oakland, NJ - The Oakland Fire Department’s Emergency Management Services Division (EMSD) hosted a personal emergency preparedness training at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center in partnership with the Oakland Chinatown Chamber.


The session focused on strengthening the community’s ability to respond to, recover from, and mitigate emergencies. The event drew dozens of attendees from across Oakland, including community organizations, local representatives, city employees, and youth participants.


Interpreters were present to provide translation services, ensuring the training was accessible to a broader audience. The department expressed appreciation to all attendees and partners for their participation in supporting community preparedness efforts.
