Seton Hall Fire Lessons Shared with Livingston Seniors

Livingston, NJ — March 26th — In order to provide seniors at Livingston High School with a fire safety curriculum that focused on lessons learned from the Seton Hall dorm fire, the Livingston Fire Department collaborated with neighborhood organizations.


Guest speakers Alvaro Llanos and Shawn Simons gave students a practical perspective as they get ready for college life by sharing their experiences from the incident and talking about the long-term effects.


The talk focused on emergency response in dorm environments, situational awareness, and fire prevention. UNICO National and Kiwanis International collaborated to support the initiative.
