A major improvement to the department's truck company capabilities was made when the Fair Lawn Fire Department officially put its new 2025 Rosenbauer tower ladder into action.

Sam Monaco, the department chaplain, blessed the equipment and prayed for the firefighters who will use it as well as the community it will serve during a brief ceremony. The incident happened after Fair Lawn Fire Company #1 delivered the truck and put it into frontline operation for the first time.

Tower ladders offer better reach for multi-story situations, higher master stream capability, and aerial access for rescue and ventilation. The department's ability to respond to structure fires and mutual aid assignments throughout the region is improved by the arrival of the new unit. The department expressed appreciation to Chaplain Monaco for participating in the ceremony.
