Fair Lawn, NJ — March 24th —  As warmer weather permits firefighters to resume outdoor drills, the Fair Lawn Fire Department introduced its first "Training Tuesday" event of the year, emphasizing continuous practical training.

New recruits took part in a concentrated training session led by Lieutenant Parker Talman of Company 4, which aimed to develop fundamental firefighting abilities. In addition to the department's normal Monday night drills, extra weekend sessions are giving recruits more practice on critical jobs.

Ground ladder operations, hose progress, and primary search strategies are examples of recent developments. Many of the participants are presently enrolled in the Bergen County Fire Academy's Firefighter 1 program and are anticipated to finish their certification in the upcoming months.
