SUSSEX, NJ — March 29th — The Beemerville Fire Company and the Sussex Fire & EMS, located at 25 Loomis Avenue, collaborated to provide a fire safety education at the Norwescap Head Start education in Sussex/Wantage. Teachers and pupils learned fundamental safety procedures from firefighters and fire prevention personnel. Identifying smoke detectors, practicing house escape plans, and learning how to dial 911 were among the lessons.

The significance of establishing meeting places outside the house and maintaining clear exits was also discussed by the crews. The nationwide Fire Protection Association's nationwide outreach initiatives, which prioritize early fire safety education, are in line with the program. According to officials, these visits enhance community preparedness and foster safe behaviors.
