Georgetown, CT - Members of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company conducted focused training, with senior firefighters practicing rapid air mask deployment, aiming to don their masks in 25 seconds or less. Emphasis was placed on maintaining composure to ensure a proper seal, full facial protection, and reliable airflow.
Crews also worked on hose deployment techniques, practicing efficient and safe methods for stretching hose lines from the engine. The training reinforced the importance of speed, coordination, and precision on the fireground.
