Ashville Fire Company Mourns Loss of Ed “Eggo” McCloskey

ASHVILLE — April 8th — Ed "Eggo" McCloskey, a lifelong member of the Gallitzin Fire Company and a devoted Ashville member, passed away, according to the Ashville Volunteer Fire Company.


For many years, McCloskey worked as a fireman, EMT, and instructor for the community, helping to train and develop innumerable responders around the area. His contributions to emergency response and teaching had a long-lasting effect on the fire department.


According to his coworkers, he was a dedicated team member who assisted with fireground operations and mentored and instructed others.
