VERNON, NJ — March 30th — Together with the Ramsey Fire Department, members of the Vernon Township Fire Department Company #1, 537 County Route 515, Vernon, NJ, took part in a practical training exercise utilizing two vacant residences that were slated for demolition. Firefighters were able to practice extending hoselines to second-floor fire regions, basement fire operations, and main search and rescue in a realistic situation thanks to the acquired structures.

Crews can practice in actual building layouts that closely resemble the conditions found at residential structure fires with the aid of these kinds of drills. New Jersey fire departments employ acquired structural training extensively to improve coordination and operational preparation during interior firefighting missions. Members pointed out that during real fire scenarios, these kinds of chances enable firemen to hone vital skills and enhance teamwork.
