PHILLIPSBURG, NJ — March 21st — After lifelong firefighter and leader Konrad Melleret passed away, the Phillipsburg Fire Department sent their condolences to the Melleret family and other members of the local fire department. Melleret was well-known for his work with the Warren County Firemen's Relief Association, where he assisted firemen and their families, and for his many years of service with the Warren County fire department. Additionally, his actions strengthened departmental collaboration throughout the county.

He was regarded by other firefighters as a mentor and devoted firefighter who helped volunteer fire departments, leadership, and training across the area. According to fire officials, his efforts had a long-lasting effect on the state fire service community as a whole as well as the county level.
