Members of the North Hudson Regional F.D., family and friends, assembled at Fire Headquarters on April 4th for the retirement walk-out for Third Battalion Chief Richard Hess. The well respected chief served the North Hudson communities for 34-years, starting his career with the former West New York Fire Department. "I leave the job, but the job will never truly leave me," the chief said. "The relationships made through good times and bad, sadness and joy, leave a lasting impression. Being a firefighter becomes part of one's DNA. For that I am eternally grateful!"
