The Bendersville Community Fire Company celebrated its annual appreciation banquet on March 14th, gathering members for an evening of celebration and fellowship. During the event, the Bendersville Juniors gave the department a $15,000 contribution to support its operations.

Several members received recognition for their service and accomplishments. Wyatt Taylor was selected Firefighter of the Year, and Garret Melhorn was recognized as Junior Firefighter of the Year. Michelle Bretzman got the Member of the Year award, Makayla Phillips received the President's Award, Shawn Bobo received the Chief's Award, and Vern Cook received the Special Service Award.

The department also acknowledged new Life Members and Honorary Members, as well as top responders who made substantial contributions to calls this year.
