Bakersfield, VT - The Bakersfield Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) has been placing a strong emphasis on training and professional development. Earlier this week, members dedicated significant time to helping newer and younger firefighters become more comfortable and proficient in wearing their gear.

In addition to in-house training efforts, Captain Andrew Nicholls and Assistant Chief Ginger Parent have been in Burlington over the past two days, joining firefighters from five different states. Their participation focused on networking, exchanging knowledge, and learning from a wide range of experiences to further strengthen their department’s capabilities.
