Burlington, VT - The Burlington Fire Department, in collaboration with the Rainy Day Fund, recently hosted a highly successful Spring Training Seminar marked by strong energy, engagement, and professional dedication throughout the event.

The seminar featured a series of insightful and impactful sessions. Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak delivered a warm welcome, setting a positive tone for the day. DC Ruggles led an engaging “Tactics on Tap” session at Switchback Brewery, while Dan Madrzykowski shared valuable expertise on wind-driven fires. DC Steve Shaffer presented an in-depth analysis of the Beacon St. fire, and LT. Steve Barton offered a compelling look into the realities of Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) operations.

Each presentation contributed to a rich exchange of knowledge, making the seminar both informative and memorable. The event’s success was also made possible by the generous support of sponsors.
