Auburn Firefighters Shine at Fight for Air Climb in Boston

Auburn, ME - Members of the Auburn Fire Department’s stair climb team recently participated in the Fight for Air Climb in Boston, a stair-climbing event supporting clean air and lung health organized by the American Lung Association. The team demonstrated dedication and perseverance throughout the challenging climb, showcasing both skill and teamwork.


Several Auburn firefighters earned individual recognition for their efforts: Erin Norton placed first in her age group for women, while Riley Haines finished third overall and second in his age group.


The Fight for Air initiative aims to defeat lung cancer, improve air quality, reduce the impact of lung disease on individuals and families, and eliminate tobacco use and related illnesses. The Auburn team’s participation highlights their commitment not only to personal fitness but also to supporting important public health causes.
