Wells River Fire Department Handles 15 Calls in March

In March, the Wells River Fire Department responded to 15 service requests.


Seven motor vehicle accidents were reported, as well as one mutual aid request to the Town of Haverhill for a first alarm, which was canceled while units were on their way. Throughout the month, firefighters responded to one fire alarm activation, one carbon monoxide alert, and one building fire.


Additional responses included a return to investigate a probable rekindling of the structure fire, a utility pole fire, an oven fire with visible flames, and a request for utility and power lines down in the street.


Department officials congratulated members for their ongoing dedication to serving the community and acknowledged the assistance of mutual aid partners throughout the month.Residents are reminded to call 911 in the event of an emergency.
