Dixmont Fire Department Mourns Loss of Marion O. Dunivan

The Dixmont Fire Department confirmed the death of Marion O. Dunivan of Dixmont on March 16th. Dunivan was a long-time member of the department's extended family, as well as an active member of the fire department auxiliary.


For many years, she aided the department by organizing calls, community events, fundraisers, and other activities that strengthened the organization and its community relations. Members stated that her dedication and commitment helped the department's work significantly.


According to department officials, Dunivan's contributions and commitment had a long-term impact on the firemen and volunteers who worked with her. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, March 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dixmont Gold Crest Riders Snowmobile Club on Cates Road in Dixmont.

Donations in her memory may be made to Dixmont Fire and Rescue.
