Providence Fire Chief Derek Silva paid a visit to a fourth-grade class at Lillian Feinstein Elementary School on March 7th as part of Read Across America week.

During the visit, Chief Silva read with pupils and discussed the importance of study, curiosity, and community involvement. The event allowed children to connect with local firefighters while emphasizing the value of literacy and education.

School staff and children welcomed the visit as part of the national Read Across America program, which promotes reading and involvement in classrooms across the country.
