Rutherford, NJ - The Rutherford Fire Department conducted specialized training focused on large-area search operations within a commercial structure in town. These types of buildings pose unique challenges due to their expansive layouts, high fuel loads, and complex interior configurations.

During the exercise, firefighters emphasized the importance of strong communication and maintaining crew integrity while operating in demanding conditions. Crews practiced executing systematic search patterns while remaining oriented at all times, ensuring efficiency and safety.
