Photo by Alna Volunteer Fire Department
Alna, ME - In recognition of Women’s History Month, the department proudly acknowledges its female members, including Coleen Trask, who made history as the first female firefighter in Lincoln County. These times women across the department continue to serve in a variety of roles, from fire suppression to administrative responsibilities.
Beth Whitney serves as the Company President, providing leadership within the organization. The photo highlights three members at the station last week—Coleen, Kateleen, and Emily—while they conducted air pack checks. Their ongoing commitment and teamwork exemplify the dedication they bring to both the town and the fire service.
The department extends its appreciation for their contributions and the vital role they play as part of the crew.
