ATHENS, NY — March 25th — Members of the Athens Volunteer Fire Department and the West Athens Lime Street Fire Company participated in a training drill that focused on critical fireground procedures.

Firefighters performed wall breaching, ladder company operations, and forceful entry, all of which are routinely used during structural fires. The training allowed workers from both agencies to practice synchronized tactics and increase efficiency during interior firefighting operations.
