On March 20th, the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, Inc. acknowledged Kaitlyn Garretto, an AEMT, as part of a series spotlighting members who are furthering their education while serving in EMS.

Garretto joined the organization in 2019 and is presently obtaining a degree in psychology, with ambitions to work in neuropsychology and research, specifically in trauma and forensic psychology.

Department authorities stated that her experience delivering patient care in EMS has influenced her scholarly interests, which include the impact of neurological damage, hypoxia, substance abuse, and acute stress on cognition and behavior.
