Oceanside Honors Female Members Serving the Community

OCEANSIDE, NY - During Women's History Month, the Oceanside NY Fire Department honored a number of its female members for their contributions to emergency medical and fire services. Among those honored were former captain Tina Rahn of Terrace Hose Company 3, who joined in 1998 as an EMT and went on to become the department's first female officer, and firefighter Angela St. Martin of Columbia Engine Company 1, a Marine Corps veteran who joined the department in 2021. Firefighters Paige Ferrucci of Salamander Hook, Ladder & Bucket Company 1 and Veronika Roy of South Side Hose Company 2, both involved in fire and emergency medical response, were also acknowledged.
