ALABAMA, NY — March 22nd — The Alabama Volunteer Fire Department's training at the Genesee County Fire Training Center concentrated on interior firefighting techniques.

Firefighters practiced door entry, interior operations, and the airpack maze, which helps them become more comfortable operating in low-visibility settings. Dylan Euceda-Rendon and Mike Summers, new members, are preparing for the Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations training, which will take place this summer.

Additional firefighters, including Ron Muntz and Dave Schnauffer, participated in the training to improve their operating skills.The drill was organized by Captains Alex Summers and James Nichols, with instruction provided by Deputy Fire Coordinator and Alabama 1st Assistant Chief Gary Patnode Jr.
