CANAAN, NY — March 23rd — The Canaan Protective Fire Company held a drill night focusing on driver training and pump operator skills.
Firefighters examined apparatus positioning and rehearsed operating fire pumps to ensure that water supply operations can be initiated rapidly in an emergency. The hands-on training enabled members to hone the skills needed to operate apparatus safely and successfully on the fireground.
