March 19, 2026 — The DeKalb County Department of Fire & Rescue Services is expanding its recruiting efforts, reaching beyond local communities to attract the next generation of firefighters.
In recent weeks, DCFR recruiters have connected with prospective candidates in areas including Miami-Dade, Southeastern Technical College in Vidalia, Georgia, and Georgia State University, while also participating in Career Day at Grace Snell Middle School in Loganville.
Upcoming visits are planned for Chamblee High School and Gwinnett Technical College as the department continues building strong recruitment pipelines.
Officials encourage interested applicants to apply and take the first step toward a career in the fire service.
