Woodstock, GA - Woodstock Fire Department responded to a report of a smoking commercial vehicle on Heritage Walk involving a shredder truck carrying a large load of shredded paper.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke issuing from the rear doors of the vehicle. Firefighters quickly secured the scene, located the source of the smoldering material, and deployed hose lines to fully extinguish the fire hazard.

Officials noted that no visible flames were reported prior to arrival and emphasized the fire risk posed by finely shredded materials, which can ignite more easily than expected under certain conditions.
