This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Conklin, NY — February 18th — Members of the Conklin Volunteer Fire Department recently participated in a specialized snowplow incident training hosted by the Broome County Office of Emergency Services in collaboration with the Broome County Highway Department and Orall's Garage.

Three Conklin firemen took part in the training, which concentrated on emergency response procedures using snowplow equipment. The workshop allowed responders to view the vehicles up close and gain a better understanding of the risks involved with these massive highway units.

Hands-on training includes situations like as extricating a patient from a snowplow truck's cab and extracting a patient from a car trapped beneath a plow.
