Honeoye, NY — February 19th — The untimely death of Atlanta Fire Department Chief Snyder is being acknowledged by members of the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department. Support for the Atlanta firefighters and the chief's family has been expressed by fire departments throughout the area. Since chiefs frequently play crucial roles in training, incident command, and community safety programs, the loss of a chief officer in the fire service affects more than just one department.

In addition to assisting with department operations and community outreach initiatives, chief officers direct firemen during crises. Along with other members of the emergency services community, members of the Richmond Volunteer Fire Department honored Chief Snyder's service and asked locals and firefighters to remember the Atlanta Fire Department and the chief's family.
