Varna Department Honors Women Serving the Community

Varna, NY — March 8th —The Varna Volunteer Fire Company recognized International Women’s Day by highlighting the contributions of women serving within the department.

Department officials noted that approximately 50 percent of the company’s firefighters are women, reflecting the strong role female members play in protecting the community.

As part of the recognition, the department shared a photo grid featuring 30 female firefighters who serve with the company. Leaders said the members represent dedication, teamwork, and commitment to public safety.

The department thanked its female firefighters for their service and encouraged continued support and recognition of women working throughout the fire service and their communities.
