March 8, 2026 — The Rindge Fire Department marked an “On This Date in History” remembrance of a significant fire response that occurred on March 8, 2011, when firefighters were dispatched to a two-alarm structure fire on Camri Court in Rindge. The incident required a large regional response, with mutual aid departments assisting from Jaffrey, New Hampshire, Peterborough, New Hampshire, Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire, New Ipswich, New Hampshire, Troy, New Hampshire, Winchendon, Massachusetts, and Ashby, Massachusetts. Crews worked together to combat heavy fire conditions and protect surrounding properties, demonstrating the importance of coordinated mutual aid in rural communities. The department shared the historical photo and reflection to recognize the efforts of firefighters who responded that day and to highlight the continued cooperation among neighboring departments when large-scale incidents occur.
