February 25, 2026 — The Dunn's Corners Fire Department hosted a leadership training program that brought together firefighters from across the Westerly-area fire service community for an evening focused on professional development and collaboration. The training featured instructor William Greenwood of FETC Services, who presented the “Extreme Leadership” program designed to help fire service leaders better understand what motivates their members, strengthen communication within departments, and develop the next generation of leadership. Firefighters from the Westerly Fire Department, Watch Hill Fire Department, and Misquamicut Fire Department joined Dunn’s Corners personnel for the session. Officials noted that joint training opportunities like this provide an important forum for departments to learn together, share perspectives, and strengthen cooperation throughout the region’s fire service.
