Keene Fire Units Respond to Fuel Spill in Fitzwilliam While Additional Crews Cover City

March 10, 2026 — Members of the Professional Firefighters of Keene IAFF Local 3265 responded to assist with a reported fuel spill in the town of Fitzwilliam. Car 2 and Utility 1, along with the department’s spill trailer, were dispatched to the scene to help manage and contain the hazardous materials incident. While crews responded to the call outside the city, additional apparatus including Tower 1 and ambulances A1, A2, and A3 remained in service to provide full emergency coverage for the Keene area. The coordinated response ensured that both the incident scene and the city maintained appropriate emergency readiness as firefighters worked to safely address the spill.
